Bob Taylor has been making acoustic guitars for over 30 years (in fact almost 40 now!). Unlike many guitar builders who are happy to build guitars using the same building traditions that have been around for more than 100 years, Bob Taylor has always been looking for new & better ways to build his guitars.

Whilst some guitar builders shy away from technolgy, Bob has embraced it & uses this technology to constantly review & improve on the ways used to build his guitars. The consistency of Taylor guitars is second to none, & some of his unique design features really separate Taylor guitars from the pack. The Taylor neck joint does not suffer from the "hump" that many traditionally built guitars will develop over time - this means the action on the guitar can be set incredibly low & we often hear comments from customers like "wow - this plays just like my electric!"

The new Expression System pick up system is also different to the traditional under saddle piezo design. The Expression system uses 3 pickups positioned at different points inside the guitar, & the combination of these pickups really captures the acoustic tone in a way that a single piezo doesn't do.
