Andy Manson made his first instrument in 1967. Five decades later and he is still building, by hand, guitars, mandolins and multi necked instruments.
The Magpie is one of Andy's most recognisable guitars, being very similar in shape to a Grand Symphony or OM.
This Magpie features all solid tone woods with Andy's own bracing pattern. A Sitka spruce top is paired with Madagascan rosewood back and sides giving a dynamic broad range, that is both crisp, articulate and deep. Coupled with Andy's light bracing pattern the guitar becomes incredible resonant belying its small size.
Other features of this Magpie include a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard and a scale length of 25.5", ebony bridge and bridge pins, Gotoh 510 machineheads and a bone nut and saddle.
Cosmetic appointments include maple body binding, mother of pearl fingerboard dot and side dot inlays, ebony heel cap and headstock overlay with mother of pearl Andy Manson logo.
A Hiscox hard case is included with the guitar.
