The Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio is based upon Gibson's very successful Gothic line and features a satin-black finish and black hardware with uncovered black Alnico Pro pick-ups, for an absolutely wicked look and even better tone.
Epiphone describe this as "The ultimate rock-slab turned to the dark side", and we're inclined to agree. The Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio is essentially an Epiphone LP Studio with everything set to black, and, as the name implies, the Les Paul Studio was originally geared toward studio musicians. This meant Gibson designed it as an unadorned Les Paul when compared to the Standard models. Thus the Gothic Les Paul is an exceptionally simple statement, in terms of its appearance. But what is misses in unnecessary visual 'adornments', it makes up in raw visual power. The original Studio was Introduced in the early ‘80s and quickly became a favourite for Les Paul lovers of all ages. Through the '90s it seemed like everyone that knew what they were doing was playing a Studio. Now, the Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio offers Les Paul fans this classic favourite design, with a dark Goth look and a more affordable price tag.
